Helpful Hints

In business, you only get one chance to make a good first impression, and your company’s website is no different. When customers arrive at your site they should instantly have a clear understanding of who you are and what you do. But statistics show that many small-business websites lack the basics, which puts them at risk of losing a customer with just one click.

The High River water, Has Raised some Issues In Canadian Police

The High River water, Has Raised some Issues In Canadian Police

Wow..this is incredible. Buddy Quoted :]

Really shocking to see the Police have the freedom to exercise a “We know what’s best and we will enter your home without your knowledge or consent and confiscate your guns….. Feel free to come pick them up with proper registration” And We will talk then…

HIGH RIVER — RCMP revealed Thursday that officers have seized a “substantial amount” of firearms from homes in the evacuated town of High River.

“We just want to make sure that all of those things are in a spot that we control, simply because of what they are,” said Sgt. Brian Topham.

“People have a significant amount of money invested in firearms … so we put them in a place that we control and that they’re safe.”

That news didn’t sit well with a crowd of frustrated residents who had planned to breach a police checkpoint northwest of the town as an evacuation order stretched into its eighth day.

“I find that absolutely incredible that they have the right to go into a person’s belongings out of their home,” said resident Brenda Lackey, after learning Mounties have been taking residents’ guns. “When people find out about this there’s going to be untold hell to pay.”

See photos from the scene.

About 30 RCMP officers set up a blockade at the checkpoint, preventing 50 residents from walking into the town. Dozens more police cars, lights on, could be seen lining streets in the town on standby.

Officers laid down a spike belt to stop anyone from attempting to drive past the blockade. That action sent the crowd of residents into a rage.

“What’s next? Tear gas?” shouted one resident.

“It’s just like Nazi Germany, just taking orders,” shouted another.

“This is the reason the U.S. has the right to bear arms,” said Charles Timpano, pointing to the group of Mounties.

Officers were ordered to fall back about an hour into the standoff in order to diffuse the situation and listen to residents’ concerns.

“We don’t want our town to turn into another New Orleans,” said resident Jeff Langford. “The longer that the water stays in our houses the worse it’s going to be. We’ll either be bulldozing them or burning them down because we’ve got an incompetent government.”

Langford blasted High River Mayor Emile Blokland over comments made Wednesday in which Blokland said residents will be allowed to return after businesses, such as hardware and drug stores, are opened.

“It was ridiculous,” said Langford. “I think he’s a puppet on a string.”

Langford said Premier Redford should come to High River to address residents’ concerns and provide information.

“This is at the highest tension,” he said. “What’s going to happen next is that people are just going to be walking across these fields, and I don’t care if they put hundreds of thousand of police officers there, they’re not going to stop from getting in.”

Sgt. Topham said he didn’t know when residents would be allowed to return to their homes. “People much higher up are going to make those decisions,” he said.

He did confirm that officer relied on forced entry to get into numerous houses during the early stages of the flood because of an “urgent need”, said Topham.

Police are no longer forcing themselves into homes and the residences that were forced open will be secured, he said.

Topham said the confiscated firearms have been inventoried and are secured at an RCMP detachment. He was not at liberty to say how many firearms had been confiscated.

“We have seized a large quantity of firearms simply because they were left by residents in their places,” said Topham.

The guns will be returned to owners after residents are allowed back in town and they provide proof of ownership, Topham added.

Residents promised to returned to the checkpoint at noon every day until they are allowed to return to their homes.

Big Sugar live “All Hell for a Basement” “Alberta Tar Sands” Rock and Roll Song!

There must be a better way
For Alberta to make money and ❤ … than Facking the cooking Sand :[

P1070185

Large-scale layoffs, empty office towers, falling house prices: Alberta has been gutted by the glut.

The oilsands industry currently emits about 70 megatonnes of greenhouse gases, but based on exceptions to the cap the number is closer to 60 megatonnes, Collyer said.

Those exemptions include the electricity portion of co-generation, as well as experimental and enhanced recovery operations. Upgraders that started after 2015 will be subject to a separate 10 megatonne cap.

Alberta should “get with the program” and move away from oil and gas.   Kinder Morgan is the only Canadian pipeline that transports “batches” of petroleum products — crude one day, gasoline the next, maybe bitumen after than. This unique variety, and the fact that it’s the only coastal pipeline, makes B.C. heavily dependent on Alberta’s complex industry.

Veggie Gardening Helpfull Ideas

Be creative with your plantings
You don’t have to plant all your vegetables in one plot. If your only sunny location is in the front yard, you

could plant a border of tomatoes and peppers along the front walk and set lettuce plants in a shadier spot out

back.

Be careful of neighbouring plants
If you must put your garden near trees and shrubs, your vegetable plants will compete for water, nutrients and

light. Tree roots extend beyond their drip line, the outer edge of their leafy canopy. If you can, keep your

garden away from the root zone of surrounding plantings. If that isn’t possible, treat everything with extra water

and fertilizer.

Test for good drainage
Plant roots need air as well as water. Waterlogged soil is low in air, which is why it’s important to consider

drainage when choosing a vegetable garden site. Heavy clay soils are usually not as well drained as sandy ones.

Puddles of water on the soil surface after a rain indicate poor drainage.

One way to check your garden soil’s drainage is to dig a hole about 10 inches deep and fill it with water. Let the

water drain, then fill the hole again the following day and clock how long it takes for the water to drain. If

water remains in the hole for more than three to four hours after the second filling, poor drainage will likely be

a problem.

Improve too soggy or too dry conditions
The fastest way to improve soil drainage is to build raised garden beds and fill them with amended soil. If your

soil is really soggy, due perhaps to a high water table, drains buried in the ground may be the only solution.

Soil can also be too well drained. Very sandy soil dries out quickly and needs frequent watering during dry

spells. Adding organic matter such as mulch to sandy soil will gradually increase the amount of water it can hold.

Find the right slope
A gentle slope to the south is ideal, especially in colder climates. Soil warms up faster in spring, and the

chance of frost affecting plants is lower. Cold air is like water: it runs downhill and settles in low spots.

Frosty air will move past plants on a slope. However, too steep of a slope can cause erosion problems. On any

sloping site, put rows across rather than down the slope to catch runoff. On very steep slopes, you may need to

build terraces to hold soil in place.

Protect your garden from wind
Winds can wreak havoc on tall crops such as corn and pole beans and can dry them out rapidly. If wind is a problem

in your area, protect the garden with a windbreak – either several rows of plants or a fence. You will get maximum

wind protection for your crops if you put them downwind at a distance three to five times the windbreak’s height.

Factor in size and workload
Consider how much of each crop you would like to harvest. If the soil is in good condition, you can keep up with a

400-square-foot garden by devoting about 30 minutes each day at the beginning of the season and 30 minutes every

two or three days throughout the summer to keep your garden producing and looking good.

Try to plan your garden so it’s close to a water source and the house. If you intend to bring in more than two

yards of soil amendments or additions such as manure, put your garden in a spot that can be easily reached by a vehicle.

To live the good life.

some quotes I saved

CREATE your life by SPEAKING what YOU want into EXISTENCE

Define “successful”.

There is one thing that will stay with you for your whole life and that is REPUTATION.

With that comes HONESTY and RELIABILITY.
If you make a promise, keep it, no matter what. That’s the reliability part.
If you know in advance you cannot keep that promise, no matter what, don’t make it. And don’t be pressured into making promises. That’s the honesty part.

With both comes ENDURANCE.

Some people say hard work. Not necessarily. I always told my engineers to work smarter, not harder. It takes a lazy man to invent a machine.

PERSEVERANCE.
It all comes with KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, STRENGTH, FLEXIBILITY.

it’s not so much about what you “don’t do,” that leads to happiness, it’s about what you actually do. Discover what makes you happy. Close relationships with people, independence and a love of what you do will bring great happiness. Create balance in your life. Relax, meditate, learn, exercise, socialize, work… all those things have a place. Finding that balance is your responsibility, and doing so is a very satisfying experience.

#1. Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.

#2. Don’t let others try and bring you down because they’re insecure about themselves and where they ended up in life.

#3. DO NOT USE CREDIT CARDS FOR ANYTHING!!! CASH CASH CASH!!! If you want that iPad or that shiny new “widget”, save up the cash. Debt will ruin you forever.

1. Do what makes you eager to get up in the morning, not what people say pays the best
#4. Live within your means.

#5. Be a “good” person, whatever that means to you. Everyone has their own morals, but the universe rewards those who put out good energy.

GOOD LUCK!!

New Way-Word Orders Coming Soon.

new Word orders

The NSA data-mining scandal is only one of dozens of strong pieces of evidence that the cabal of shadowy Power Elite are right on the brink of being publicly exposed and brought to justice — as we’ve been anticipating for years now.

Once this happens, it will soon become the most significant event in all of modern history — dwarfing 9/11 by many orders of magnitude as a game-changer.

This time, however, the game will change for the positive — not for the negative.
